The lawn, perfected.

The lawn, perfected.

Consistent, professional maintenance that keeps a developed property looking its best, week after week.

Trusted by local businesses

A clean mow isn’t enough to keep a property healthy in Houston. The heat, the heavy clay, and the rain show who is taking care of the yard and who is only driving a mower over it.

At Axe, we don’t do one-pass mows. We build a scheduled program for the developed property: the cut, the beds, the feed, the weed control, reel mowing where the grass wants it, and a check on the irrigation. The company is firefighter-owned. Feed stays matched to the grass, and St. Augustine does not get a heavy nitrogen push in the hottest weeks.

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing follows the growing season. Reel mowing is the low cut for Bermuda and Zoysia. Fertilization and weed control are matched to that grass. Core aeration pulls cores so air and water can enter compacted soil. It is not a drain. Dethatching is its own visit. Irrigation repair covers heads, leaks, and coverage on the system already in the ground. A new system is landscaping work. Sod, seeding, mulch, and seasonal cleanup are scheduled when the property needs them.

Need more than the lawn? Landscape work finishes the grounds. Land management takes the tract that still needs clearing.

Questions

What does Axe actually do?

Three things. Lawn Care is a recurring program on developed properties. Landscaping is design, install, trees, drainage, irrigation, and seasonal lighting on developed lots. Land Management is Axe Land Management: clearing, mulching, site prep, grading, reclamation, and storm cleanup within 200 miles of Houston.

Do you publish prices?

No. Rates are quoted per property. Request an estimate, or call 832-933-2713.

Where do you work?

North Houston first: Spring (including 77386), Montgomery, Cypress, Tomball, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Waller, and Willis, plus Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, and Conroe. Land Management covers 200 miles from Houston.

Do I need to be home?

Not for regular lawn visits, as long as we can get to the property. Larger landscape or land jobs we prefer to walk with you.

What if the weather is bad?

We reschedule. You’ll hear from us. We don’t no-show a wet Tuesday.

Who owns Axe?

Andres Cabrera, a Houston firefighter. The company is insured.
